"Industrial Color's software and infrastructure group grew up in a creative production company," said Aaron Holm, Industrial Color Software's Vice President of Development. "Our creative roots and our internal enterprise infrastructure have helped us to understand the needs of users and build easy to use software that saves time and money. With the launch of FileSociety(TM) and the expansion of GLOBALedit's customer base it made sense to organize software, professional services and infrastructure management under one operating group."

Industrial Color Software offerings include a suite of easy to use web applications that generate tremendous efficiencies and cost savings for creative, marketing, production and retail companies. The company's flagship offerings include GLOBALedit(R), a powerful, web- based image management tool for professionals, and FileSociety(TM), a revolutionary high- speed file transfer web service. The software division also owns and maintains a Tier-3 Data center.

Since GLOBALedit's launch at the Henry Stewart DAM Symposium in June of 2007, clients such as Victoria's Secret, Showtime Networks, Turner Broadcasting, McGraw Hill Publishing, Warner Brothers, and others have standardized their enterprise imaging workflow on the GLOBALedit(R) platform. This year's launch of FileSociety(TM) has expanded the company's customer base into video production, CGI, gaming, architecture, medical, and other demanding, file-based workflows.

Under the Industrial Color Software umbrella both GLOBALedit(R) and FileSociety(TM) are drastically transforming workflow for some of the world's largest brands including Victoria's Secret, NBC Universal, Turner Broadcasting, Warner Brothers, Showtime Networks, Gap / Old Navy, Playboy Entertainment and New York & Company.

GLOBALedit Announces The Launch of FileSociety

The revolutionary web service that allows professionals to manage and transfer large files up to 100 times faster than FTP.

NEW YORK, NY, February 10, 2009 –Today GLOBALedit®, the leader in online workflow software officially launched a break-through service called FileSociety™ that is changing the way large digital files are transported around the world. Replacing outdated methods such as FTP and DVD shipping, GLOBALedit® designed FileSociety™ for professionals looking for faster, greener and smarter tools to collaborate and share files.

FileSociety™ was designed and developed for demanding, file-based workflows such as film, photo and audio production, advertising and marketing, publishing, printing, research and medical, architecture, retail and event production. FileSociety™ is the remedy for archaic, slow and insecure FTP, costly shipping services. This innovative web service transports huge files such as video, graphics, digital images, and schematics with blazing speed from any web browser.

FileSociety™ is a new service powered by Aspera’s next-generation fasp™ transport technology for high-performance file transfer up to 100 times the speed of FTP. This ‘best-of-breed’ partnership ushers in an efficient new mode of sending digital assets of any size through any network at maximum speed, regardless of conditions or distance with complete security built-in. FileSociety™ is a one of a kind, much anticipated reincarnation of file transfer.

Steve Kalalian, President of GLOBALedit® states, “We’re very excited about building FileSociety™ because it solves so many core problems for our clients in the creative industry as well as other industries that need to send large files quickly and safely over the Internet. Everything is digital, files keep getting bigger, and everyone needs them faster – we built FileSociety™ to give busy professionals the tools to control their files instead of being controlled by them.”

McGraw Hill, Victoria's Secret, Showtime. Pentagram, Saatchi & Saatchi and Warner Brothers are all enthusiastic early adopters of FileSociety™ and are currently sending massive files long distance with the only software service in existence that offers them an unrivaled combination high-speed technology, genius receipt messaging and steadfast security.

Carl Hixson Vice President, Digital Asset Management McGraw-Hill Companies comments, "FileSociety opens entirely new opportunities for our company. A typical layout file that would previously have taken 30 minutes to transfer to a design office in Asia now takes 11 seconds. Multiply this across the volume of files that we move and it's a game changer.  The system is also under the control of our creative staff which gives them the freedom and speed to take control of the production process.  This is an important innovation."

Overnight shipping, unreliable links and expensive plane tickets are passé for smart professionals who now have a handle on ‘heavy lifting’ with FileSociety™.
